Public Transportation Lighting Design｜Kaohsiung MRT - Nangangshan MRT Station

Location

R24 Nangangshan MRT Station is a two story RC building on an island platform. The design plane and profile of the curve resemble the speed, safety, visual softness and smooth movement of the MRT. Exit / Entractance No.1 of the station is an exposed steel structure with coloured glass, viewable from Qiaotou District. The Nangangshan MRT Station provides a comfortable and fast MRT service in the Dagangshan area, helping to promote the overal economy. In addition to the development, the design aims to save energy and reduce carbon whilst providing a landscape which blends with its existing environmental textures.

Lighting Design

Rooster Lighting has helped to make the whole station glow brightly in the night, like sparkling jewels of an opened jewelry box. During the day, the coloured glass reflects nicely in the sunlight but with the help of our lighting, the quality and specatcle of this feature is even more special in the night time. This project is an excellent example of Rooster Lightings expertise and service in the lighting industry. The project balances elegance and impact from an external perspective and a stable and meticulously calculated lighting environment for the inside commuting experience.
