Bridge Lighting Design｜Golden Lighting Bridge, Kaohsiung City
Location
The previous Jinshi Bridge across Jinshi Lake was judged as a dangerous bridge due to the dredging project. The city government built the Golden Lion Lake Scenic area to improve efficiency around the area and to revitilize the landscape for the night time. The Golden Lion Bridge is in the scenic area and is the only bridge in the area which is restricted to pedestrians and cyclists. One of the highlighting features in the sceneic area is the unique shape of the bridge with the warerfall function.
Lighting Design
Rooster Lighting's expertise in lighting design helped realise the requirements for the bridge to increase safety aswell as also being a focus of attention in the night. The red bridge pier is decorated with warm lines and a special iridescent film on the body to reveal its hollow shape. The railings are also washed with warm white light to increase the safety and overall visibility for the pedestrians who walk across. The central waterfall feature is lit with RGB lighting to create a colourful waterfal, making the Golden Lion Bridge shine with dazzling brilliance in the night.
