Road Lighting Design｜Multi-Function Street Lighting - Pingtung City Peace Road

Location

Since our special multi-function street light design appeared on the streets and roads of Kaohsiung it wasn't long before other City's and Countys such as Pingtung, invested in upgrading their street lights. Our multi-function street light not only increase the safety and ease of use to road users, but have also greatly changed the local landscapes of the city. The design brings a better vision for a safer and functional city. 

Lighting Design

The primary consideration for urban road planning is safe lighting for road users and pedestrians. After strict calculation, the light can be evenly distributed on the road to create a more comfortable driving experience. High Pressure Sodium (HPS) kamps are the main source of the of light for road lighting. Although the current LED street lamp advocates excellent energy saving benefits, they have not been standardized or specialised in the department of road lighting optics or maintenance. The advantage of traditional street lamp is their replaceability and ease of maintenance. If a problem occurs with an embedded LED lamp, the whole light potentially needs to be disassembled. The common street light of Pingtung Road in Pingtung have their own unique characteristic which is the theme of "bat wings". Ancient bats have a special blessing . Our design team worked to integrate this theme into the existing modularity of the multi-function street light. This has created a new and unique road lighting experience and urban landscape in Pingtung.
