Nightwalk Lighting Design - Pingtung Fuxing Road Rest Trail  2012 / 07

Location

Next to the newly completed pedestrian walkway in Fuxing Road, Pingtung City, the old wall ruins of the Pingtung Sugar Factory leave a fading mural.  In commemoration of the 100th birthday of Chiang Kau-shek is the collective creation of student's stripped paintings on the walls, symbolising the democracy. After the completion of the new Fuxing Road Recreation Trail, the Pingtung City Office will give it a new look and feel. Lighting Design

The walking trails and seats have been given new lighting to provide new feelings of comfort along the recreational path at night. The beautiful curved reflections of the landsape lights warm the trail space with bright even light colours at night. In addition to the sleek landscape, a low light was set underneath the tree where the original shade of the tree was turned into a viewing space. A seating installation was set up between the trails, where Rooster Lighting provided the lighting underneath for an intimate accent light setting. This lighting helps the walkers locate the seating positions and also helps to break up the light so it isnt too harsh in the atmosphere.
