Landscape Lighting Design｜LOVE Kaohsiung Shoushan Lover Observation Deck

Location

Kaohsiung is a large city with beautiful scenery of mountains and seas. You can feel and appreciate the coastline from Cijin Port and see Kaohsiung's Shanhai River Port in Shoushan. Because high altitude of Shoushan Mountain, the location becomes a popular romantic destination for couples coming to enjoy the harbour view and the charm of the night time scenery. 

Lighting Design

The Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureu created the Lover's Deck in front of Shoushan Martyr's Shrine, and populated the area with images of love. It provided visitors with a platform overlooking the Kaohsiung Landscape. The LOVE installation also enhances the theme and acts as an obvious metaphor. While the night time LOVE installation shimmers, couples heartbeats pulse. Next to the installation there is a viewing platform for couples to enjoy the night time scenery of Kaohsiung. The guardrail of the viewing platform is made up of 32 decorative characters symbolising that love has no boundaries and isn't specific of race. Many accent lights are positioned under the trees to set of the romantic atmosphere. We belieeve that our lights in this location will bring more love and hapiness to Kaohsiung. Shoushan brings love.
