Kaohsiung Port Station as a century-old station that continues the line of the Taiwan Railway Administation (TRA), The old railway left behind is the memory of what once lived here. The parking lot of the old railway had no practical function so it was converted into a railway bicycle sightseeing route and an art and cultural activity site. Lighting Design

The design of lighting in this landscape utilises a luminaire with a low-light-full-circle diffuser to increase the spread of light and prevent light damage typically caused by an upward beam. The middle section of the luminaire uses a lenticular mask to cover 85% of the direct glare in the light source, reducing the strain of visual light to the surrounding environment. The trail guide light, combined with the preserved transfer device , echoes the characteristics of the railway structure, and helps to illuminate the trails and bicycle lanes for activity of the area during the night time. The night time is one of the best times for sight seeing view and leisure.
