Station Lighting Design｜Grace of Tomioka Base - Taitung North Lake Station

Location

Beihu Station - One of the most beautiful stations of Taiwan. In July 2012, it was newly completed between Tomioka Station in Taoyuan County and Hukou Station in Hsinchu County. The entire station is equipped with a light tree structure and full-cover solar roof. The platform innovatively mimics the waiting space under the shade. The sustainable design of the station earned its place as the first gold-grade station of the Taiwan Railway. 

Lighting Design

The lighting design of Beihu Station is well defined. The main body of the station uses cool white colour temperatures to creat a sense of newness of technology and speed. It uses the structural features such as the pillars of the platform canopy to hide the vitrinite reflections. Underneath the the sustainable building design is a uniform and comfortable station hall space. Around the main body of Beihu Station is a warmer tone of light to provide comfort and a sense of nostalgia about taiwan. the landscape high light outside the platform is also quite simple. the inverted cone-like glass structure is erected in the blue sky during the day and shines like the white moon at night, gently sown with the return of night.
