Road Lighting Design｜Pingtung Violin Light

Location

The Taiwan Violin Mother's House - Follow the wannianxi wood plank road and come to the intersection of Freedom Road and Renai Road. Although the quaint Japanese style mansion on the roadside has been long abandoned, the old residece of Ms. Li Shude, the mother of Taiwanese violin music, the memory from the past is recognised today, The Pingtung Government has taken an interest in the commemoration of Ms. Li Shude's legacy. Therefore they have helped design many of the tiles, walls and fences in the area into visual representations of musical instruments. 

Lighting Design

The design of the bollard luminaire frames the shape of a violin. With consideration of traffic and pedestrians, the height of this special luminaire design has been set so not to cause discomfort to the eye. Like the melodious music, the warm white lighting of the violin light helps to warm the heart of those nearby. The design helps to romantisize the evenings in Pingtung as children and adults recollect the beloved memories and legacy of Ms. Li Shude.
