Former Residence of the Mother of Taiwanese Violins

Walk along the Wannian Creek wooden plank road and arrive at the intersection of Ziyou Road and Renai Road. There is an antique Japanese-style mansion on the roadside. Even though it has been abandoned for a long time, the former residence of Ms. Li Shude, the "Mother of Taiwanese Violin", can still be seen. With its splendor and beauty, she has had a profound influence on the development of education in Taiwan. Countless of her children have become internationally famous. Therefore, the Pingtung government decided to specially design the floor tiles, walls and fences around the old residence into the visual images of many related musical instruments. To commemorate Ms. Shude Lee and her responsibility and value in the history of Taiwanese music development.

Lighting design

Like diamond notes jumping on a blue ribbon, the panel structure of the violin is simulated as a lighting fixture. The height of the lighting fixture is matched with the environment to prevent pedestrians' eyes from discomfort. With warm white lighting, it cleverly warms people's hearts like a melodious piece of music. , professionally and precisely designed decorative features such as tuning pins, F holes and tailpieces, adding to the unique fun and romance of Pingtung at night, allowing children and adults to appreciate and recall the historical value of the past while passing by.
