Sustainable environment heals the soul

Yuanlin Christian Hospital integrated the concept of sustainable environmental protection into the architectural design during planning, and developed smart and low-carbon hospitals at the same time. In September 2015, it obtained the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Level Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. This is The first comprehensive medical building in Greater China, including Southeast Asia, has won the award for sustainable high-performance architecture, setting a new milestone for Taiwan's medical institutions on the road to sustainability and environmental protection. 

Outside Yuanlin Christian Hospital, where people come and go, the outdoor landscape lights illuminated by roosters on the quiet sidewalk create a soothing medical mood in the public space. It is hoped that the landscape lighting design outside the building can make medical patients relax a little and slow down the time of medical treatment. In order to reduce the sense of uneasiness, the green landscape trail becomes a walking and resting place for the surrounding people in the highlight of the night, enhancing the charm of the hospital's night scenery and the effect of spiritual healing.
