TAIWAN'S FIRST “TOBACCO LEAF THEME PAVILION”

Park introduction

The "Pingtung Tobacco Factory" was established in 1936, so it was also called the "1936 Cultural Base". It was not actually called the Pingtung Tobacco Factory at that time. The real name was "Pingtung Branch Tobacco Re-drying Field of the Monopoly Bureau". At that time The total area of tobacco cultivation once reached the largest level in Taiwan. It closed in 2002. Eight years later, the entire area was listed as a historical building in Pingtung County. It was not until February 2022 that it returned to the world with a new look.

The "Pingyan 1936 Cultural Base" renovated from the Pingtung Tobacco Museum covers an area of 1,300 square meters. It is the first "Tobacco Leaf Theme Museum" in Taiwan. The entire area retains the tobacco leaf processing machinery and introduces digital technology to recreate the historical splendor of the industrial heritage. , and also understand the context of past industrial development from the interactive exhibitions that modern people love most. The 4.2-hectare park will be opened in two phases, with the tobacco pavilion, Hakka pavilion, warehouses No. 8 and 9 and warehouse No. 10 opening first.

Lighting design

At night, the lights turn on, giving the reborn Pingtung Tobacco Factory a heart-warming and beautiful appearance. The entrance grille uses LED linear floodlights (GF02E) to create lighting levels, and the ground walkways are Low-profile lights (BA20) with a simple appearance are used to provide low-scale walkway lighting and LED high-bay lights create a canopy corridor space, providing visitors with a lighting effect for visual guidance at night.

The white-shaped scaffolding located at the entrance uses LED linear lights (QT25) with visible and invisible lighting techniques to outline the beautiful warm white corridor outline of the factory scaffolding. Walking in the warm light makes people feel like The old-time atmosphere of the tobacco factory.

The Rooster lighting team cooperated with the design unit to create a high-light with the image of tobacco leaves for the exclusive factory area. Not only is it a modeling craft that decorates the environment during the day, but at night, it scatters medium-color temperature lights one after another to provide necessary safety lighting for tourists. Modern photosensitive color trail light strips appear.

In addition, we also use lighting techniques of different light colors in different key areas according to local conditions. The tall chimneys are even more majestic and eye-catching in the projection of high-brightness white LED floodlights, allowing the outdoor environment of the tobacco leaf factory to show the rich diversity of lighting.
