Field background
Formosa Plastics Corporation originated in 1954. Founders Wang Yongqing and Wang Yong established Formosa Plastics Corporation in that year and built Taiwan's first polyvinyl chloride (PVC) factory with a daily production capacity of 4 tons at its current location.
Formosa Plastics Kaohsiung Factory is the founding factory of Formosa Plastics Corporation. It is a model of Taiwan's introduction of American chemical technology and its successful transfer to private operations and development. It plays an extremely important key role in Taiwan's plastics industry and specifically represents the post-war era of Taiwan's private enterprises. The significance is equivalent to the epitome of Taiwan's economic development history and has contributed a lot to the development of Taiwan's economy.
In order to comply with Kaohsiung City's urban development policy, the factory stopped production in April 2014. In March 2018, 13 buildings were approved by Kaohsiung City's cultural assets to be registered as commemorative buildings and historical buildings, fully retaining the offices and offices where the two founders made their fortune. The employee dormitory area and the surrounding old trees can bear witness to the evolution of Taiwan's petrochemical industry over the past 60 years, and provide Kaohsiung City and people across the country with a living area with historical and cultural significance, sightseeing, recreation, and science education.

Lighting design
As night falls, Formosa Wang's Kunzhong Park transforms into a dazzling sea of light and shadow. The "Formosa Plastics South Asia" signboard in the park uses LED linear lights (GF11) to create a golden light effect. This light reflects the long history of Taiwan and vividly displays the founder of Formosa Plastics Group, Mr. Wang. Mr. Kunzhong has made outstanding contributions to Taiwan's economic and historical development.
Classic and elegant landscape high lights (FC16) are arranged along the park trails. These high lights not only provide warm and bright safety lighting for visitors, but are more like stars at night, guiding the way forward so that visitors can enjoy themselves. The beauty of a night walk. The old chimney near Zhengqin Road becomes a new look at night through the use of full-color LED floodlights. It is dressed in colorful clothes and towers high in the factory area, becoming the city light pillar of Kaohsiung. This chimney with a long history, with its unique posture, shows the glory of industry and the progress of the city to all visitors, bringing a bright glory to this land and witnessing the prosperity and development of the city.
Finally, simple LED floodlights (QL32, QL54) are used on the exterior walls of offices, walls, dormitories and old trees in the park to delicately depict the traces of time. These lights are like the artist's brushstrokes. , outlining the historical imprint of the building in the dark night. The Ayam Lighting team worked together with the design unit and construction unit to make the night lighting in Formosa Wang's Kunzhong Park a night attraction in Hong Kong, transforming it into a witness to Taiwan's history and modern culture.
