2013 Wanjin Christmas Season Christmas Projection Light Sculpture Show at Our Lady’s Temple

Using the latest projection mapping technology, people can share the grace of Our Lady in Taiwan’s oldest Catholic Shrine.

2013 Pingtung-Wanjin Notre Dame Temple Christmas Projection Light Sculpture Show

For the first time in the 2013 Wanjin Christmas season, the projection mapping show was introduced, using Taiwan’s oldest Holy Mother of God’s Temple as a canvas to tell the story of the greatness and incomparable blessings of Our Lady to all people, bringing a different vision to the Christmas season. and hearing, and at the same time, fireworks are launched in the form of projection, giving Taiwan a more different brilliance.

Rooster Lighting is good at lighting design for public facilities, whether it is security lighting or projection mapping. However, Ayam's strength goes beyond that. One of the major annual events in Pingtung in 2014 is the Donggang Black Tuna Cultural Tourism Season projection show. , Ayam worked hard to serve local manufacturers, and won the title of the light show contractor for this year's Christmas season with excellent design and planning.

Projection design

Pingtung Wanjin's Christmas season projection mapping show. In fact, this kind of animation projection technology has been used abroad for a long time. Such visual effects require a lot of time. In addition to the preparation of story scripts, more time is spent on scene characters. Production, animation calculation and on-site lighting testing.

(How time-consuming is the production of projection animation? After the scene and script are constructed sequentially, a 60-second animation requires a computer to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days = 168 hours)

In line with the service spirit of local manufacturers, Rooster immediately invited professional technical engineers from Australia to come to Taiwan as soon as they received the case. They visited the site of the Our Lady of Wanjin Basilica early in the morning, and our staff and the priest intensively discussed the mapping sculpture. For the content of the projection, foreign engineers and Rooster Lighting Engineers set up a scaffolding in the square. Using a high-lumen special machine, they actually used light to draw the outline of the church to set the projection range. Every detail was carefully carved out. Blind angle projection viewing effect.

In addition to the projected content including Catholic culture, Wanjin local cultural characteristics, and joyful Christmas, Rooster Lighting also used fireworks animations at the end of the projection mapping show to remind them of the air pollution and huge costs caused by real fireworks. Because the effect of projecting fireworks animations on buildings can not only reduce the number of real fireworks, it is also a design that can be played repeatedly at a single cost.

The most valuable thing is that we only have a very tight 4 weeks of preparation time. Not only do we urge the animation production staff to work sleeplessly, but Rooster Lighting also constantly raises the standard of perfection for the projection mapping show of this annual event! At the same time, the Southern Taiwan Symphony Orchestra is invited to tailor-make heart-stirring music for the projection light sculpture. The intention of the rooster is to create every perfect visual and auditory feast of Wanjin Christmas light sculpture!
